The Long Cut

We carefully selected a blend of polyester-elastane for our Long swim shorts, to maximize comfort and performance in the water. Natural fibers like cotton absorb water, lose shape, and dry slowly. Everything you want to avoid for swimwear.

The Long Cut uses the same performance polyester-elastane blend as the Awrah Shorts, chosen for the same reasons: it holds shape wet or dry, resists chlorine and saltwater breakdown, and stretches with movement instead of restricting it.

Loose fit for better comfort and modesty. It is also equipped with elastic bands at the bottom to prevent the shorts from going above the knee, even during movement.

Is this a Halal swim suit?
The Long Cut is built for Muslim men who want longer, more modest swim shorts than standard swim shorts. On its own, it covers below the knee, further than most swimwear on the market. Paired with our Swim Tee, it also gives full Awrah coverage.

Does it cover the Awrah on its own?
No. The Long Cut covers below the knee, but does not extend above the waistband to cover the navel. Pair it with The Swim Tee for complete Awrah coverage, or consider The Awrah Shorts for full Awrah coverage in one.

Does it come with a liner or mesh net?
No. We recommend wearing a boxer underneath for additional modesty and comfort. The fabric is quick-dry, which helps reduce chafing either way.

How is this different from regular long swim shorts?
Most swim shorts, even longer ones, are cut above or at the knee and aren't designed with modesty in mind. The Long Cut extends below the knee and has elastic bands at the bottom to keep it secure. It also has a quick-dry, performance fabric built to hold its shape in and out of the water.

Can I wear this at the pool and the gym?
Yes. The fabric is designed to dry quickly and hold its shape in and out of the water, so it works for swimming, beach days, or general active wear where modest coverage matters. It is also chlorine-resistant.
For high-intensity sports, we do recommend our upcoming sportswear collection instead, as it’s made with a fabric better-suited for intense activities.
